M4E summons genie toon

Jinnrise: The Animated Series is based on comics by Sohaib Awan

German children’s producer and distributor M4E is developing a 3D CGI-animated series based on the comic-book series Jinnrise.

Jinnrise: The Animated Series will be coproduced with US-based publisher Jabal Entertainment once financing is complete.

M4E will then handle worldwide distribution, licensing and merchandising rights for the series.

Targeting boys and girls aged seven to 12, the action-adventure toon follows a 10-year-old boy, a boisterous genie, an international student, a martial arts prodigy and a conspiracy-theorist scientist as they traverse the globe.

The comic books were created by Sohaib Awan in 2012. Jinnrise joins other animated properties on M4E’s books such as Wissper, Mia and Me, Tip the Mouse, Tobot and Julio Bunny.
